Position
Reaction Engines is seeking to recruit an experienced Head of Quality within our Operations department. You will report to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) on quality assurance matters and you will be responsible for expanding the existing Quality Management System to cover all aspects of the Company’s business from hardware design, manufacture, and testing to software development.
The successful candidate will work across the business to ensure that all matters in relation to Quality are managed in accordance with legislative requirements.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Batchelor’s degree in science or engineering discipline
- Certified Qualified lead auditor
- Postgraduate Qualification in Quality Management and/or membership of appropriate professional body Is desirable
- Significant previous quality assurance experience in the aerospace and/or space engineering sector is essential, including knowledge, implementation, and use of and ISO 9001:2015.
- Significant leadership experience in Quality Assurance and business process improvements
- Good knowledge of BS EN 9100 aerospace standard and ECSS Quality Assurance standards
- Experience in software quality assurance is desirable
- Experience in quality assurance auditing (both internal and with suppliers) is desirable
- Experience with design for manufacture and product development lifecycle is non-essential but desirable
- Experience with quality tools, including root cause and corrective action and process auditing would be beneficial
- Knowledge of requirements management systems is beneficial
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety and Environmental regulations is desirable but non essential
- NEBOSH Diploma in Health and Safety would be beneficial

Salary: Competitive
Working hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week.
